What can you expect from the experience? Prison Escape is a 3 hour real life game where you step in the life of a prisoner. You play the leading role in your own prison movie. You will be locked up in the Boschpoort prison in Breda. Prison Escape is a cinematic experience in which you determine your own story. You have a goal: escape! During the experience you are supposed to interact with our 80 actors. There are various storylines to discover. Each with its own outcome.

Prison Escape is not an Escape Room. Don’t expect complex puzzles or locks to open. Prison Escape is an interactive cinematic experience in which 110 players and 30 actors play together. There are several storylines (and escapes) to discover and follow. Proactively seeking interaction with the actors and fellow players is key!

We organize Prison Escape on certain dates. Our game days are on certain Fridays and Saturdays. An overview of all playing weekends and times can be found on the tickets page. The maximum number of participants per game is 420. For game days outside of our regular schedule, it is possible to completely buy off a game.

If you are bound to a wheelchair, it is unfortunately not possible to participate in Prison Escape due to the many stairs and floors.

You cannot park at the dome prison, but you can at the Turfschip parking garage. This is paid parking, but the rate is cheaper there than on the street or the Chasséveld. Use the Rijngraafstraat exit when you exit the parking garage. You can walk to the meeting point Kloosterlaan 168 in 4 minutes.

We encourage all English speakers to participate in the regular games. The collective scenes remain in Dutch. However our 30 interactive actors are fully capable of switching between Dutch and English in individual interaction. We’ve had many international players before, and they’ve had a blast!

We use a minimum age of 18 years to participate in Prison Escape, we make no exceptions. We do not consider certain game elements and scenes suitable for minors.

A gift card is valid for a ticket. The price of the gift card is based on the most expensive edition, the afternoon edition. The owner of the gift card is free to use the card for another edition if this is more convenient. Our gift cards are available at our ticket shop.

Hell yes! Prison Escape is a popular group / business activity. All the information you need is on our groups page.
If you fill in the form on our groups page, one of our colleagues from the B2B department will contact you about all the possibilities.

It is the case that you experience the walk-in, ie the beginning of the game, on your own. We call all players in one by one. We do this in the interest of the experience, because in real life you go to prison alone and not with your friends. After the walk-in, the solitary confinement with a random prisoner follows and after 15 minutes the cell doors open. From then on, it is up to you whether you want to share your information with family / friends / colleagues or not. 1 thing is certain; from now on you can search for the way of freedom! From then on you are free to join your friends / family or colleagues, share information, or not 😉 and look for the way to freedom.

It is possible that Facebook is still processing the mugshot and that it will come online later. The large amount of uploads can be difficult to handle for Facebook. However, all albums should be complete by the end of the day.

Are the photos still not listed at the end of the day?

• Send an email to info@prisonescape.nl with ‘Missing Mugshot’ as subject.
• Please type a description of what you looked like during Prison Escape (what color overall, long / short / no hair, earrings? Hooded cardigan?).
• Please conclude with your prisoner name that you have written on the chalkboard.
• Please include a recent photo of the person on the mugshot you are looking for in the attachment.

Our photographer will look up the missing mugshot next Tuesday! We will of course give you feedback as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The general group photos are always uploaded on Monday after a weekend at www.facebook.com/prisonescapeNL/photos/. The mugshots come online the next day!

During the Prison Escape experience, we use two terms to (temporarily) stop the game for the safety and well-being of the players and actors.

For the players this is “EXIT”
For actors this is “NO PLAY”.

If it becomes too much for you during the experience, in any way, you indicate this to one of the actors by using “EXIT”. The actor in question immediately steps out of his or her role to help you. As soon as you can resume the game, you may return to the game, if the current course of the game allows this.

You can also use “EXIT” if you feel insecure about the situation and need help.

The actor, in turn, will use “NO PLAY” to freeze a play situation.

The terms are indicated in the liability form and are mentioned again by the producer prior to Prison Escape.

No! Weapons and physical violence are not allowed. However realistic the production is, with our cast of 80 actors and the impressive location, it remains a game and a show. We want everyone to have an exciting but also a safe experience. There are many other and more creative ways to escape.

Many of our actors are certified emergency response officers. There is also a safety coordinator at every event and Prison Escape has a complete first aid team.

Whether you are severly or mildly autistic, it is absolutely possible to participate in Prison Escape. If you are less autistic, but find it exciting to experience the experience alone, it is also possible to play with a friend. You are then both players and you must both hand over a valid ticket at the entrance. Please make sure that your friend is always near you.

If this is not enough, you may have a buddy with you. Your buddy stays with you at all times, your buddy is not a player, but purely supportive. You will go in together from the beginning, however your buddy will not receive a badge and may not actively participate in the game. You will be put in a cell with another player. We only treat your buddy as a supervisor, you play the game. You register your buddy in advance with our customer service.

If you are bound to crutches, it is certainly possible to participate in Prison Escape. Report to the attendant at the gate, who will make sure you get a cell on the ground floor. What you can see from the experience depends on your limitation and strength. During the walk-in of the experience, there are several stairs that must be taken.

When you are hard of hearing it is possible to participate in Prison Escape. It is important that you have a buddy with you. Your buddy stays with you at all times, your buddy is not a player, but purely supportive. You will go in together from the start, however your buddy will not receive a badge and may not actively participate in the game. You will be put in a cell with another player. We only treat your buddy as a supervisor, you play the game. You register your buddy in advance with our customer service.

If you are less hearing-impaired, it is also possible to play with a friend. You are then both players and you must both hand over a valid ticket at the entrance. Please make sure that your friend is always near you so he/she can point out instructions from, for example, guards.

If you are visually impaired it is possible to participate in Prison Escape. It is important that you have a buddy with you. Your buddy stays with you at all times, your buddy is not a player, but purely supportive. You will go in together from the beginning, however your buddy will not receive a badge and may not actively participate in the game. You just come to jail with another player. We only treat your buddy as a supervisor, you play the game. You register your buddy in advance with our customer service.

If you are mildly visually impaired, it is also possible to play with a friend. You are then both players and you must both hand over a valid ticket at the entrance. Please note that your friend is always with you and you can point out stairs, doors or other ‘obstacles’ to take.

When you are completely blind, it is not possible to play Prison Escape for your own safety. The building, the game structure and the number of participants mean that the production is not suitable for playing if you cannot see anything.

When you are deaf it is absolutely possible to participate in Prison Escape. It is important that you have an interpreter / buddy with you. Your buddy stays with you at all times, your buddy is not a player, but purely supportive. You will go in together from the beginning, however your buddy will not receive a badge and may not actively participate in the game. You just come to cell with another player. We only treat your buddy as an interpreter, you play the game. You register your buddy in advance with our customer service.

No, this is not allowed. Because of the experience, it is important that you have no idea of time or the outside world. We immerse you in a cinematic experience for 3 hours. If for some reason it is imperative that you remain available during the experience, you can contact our customer service on +31 85 0653268.
They can exceptionally grant you permission.

It is not allowed to film or photograph during the Prison Escape experience.
During the game you are requested to store your belongings in a locker.

This is a sequel for the ex-prisoners of the Noordsingel! Director Keizer has survived the attack on his life and is now back to work in a bigger prison.

There are some differences between Rotterdam and Breda. The total number of actors within the experience has grown to 80, this was 42 in Rotterdam. This allows more than 400 players per edition to experience what it is like to be trapped in the colossal Boschpoort in Breda. The Boschpoort is one of the 3 unique dome prisons in the Netherlands and also the largest in Europe. There are more storylines, epic scenes and intense escapes.

Not speaking or understanding the Dutch language is no problem. The joint scenes and certain directions within the game are all in Dutch. Our actors always ask if there are non-Dutch speaking players, if so, they switch to English. During individual interaction with a player, the actor also switches directly. We have already welcomed many international participants. They had a great time.

We understand your concern about being locked up in a cell. That is why we would like to give you some explanation about how we deal with this within the prison. There is a moment in the game where you go into the cell for a moment. However, this takes a maximum of 15 minutes. It is very important to mention that the cell doors close but never lock.
So you can always get out by pushing the door open. Furthermore, you do not have to crawl through pipes or narrow corridors or the like. The prison over all has very spacious areas. We hope that we have been able to take away your concerns and that you will experience Prison Escape! If you would like someone you know to stay with you, you can report this to the attendant as soon as you arrive.

Yes of course! During Prison Escape we use a code word: EXIT. If it becomes too much for you during the experience, in any way, you indicate this to one of the actors by using “EXIT”. The actor in question immediately steps out of his or her role to help you. You will then be taken to a quiet place so that you can recover.
As soon as you want to resume the game, you may return to the game, provided that the current course of play allows this.

If you need to quit the game for some personal reasons that are known to you before hand (like work or family obligations) please inform us about this via the customer service and use the code word “EXIT” in the game to be guided out.

We have often had pregnant ladies at Prison Escape and they had a great time. During the walk-in you have to keep walking or standing and you have to walk up and down a number of stairs until you end up in the cell. However, this only takes half an hour! Here you will have the opportunity to sit. Prison Escape is not that physically intense. Jumping, crawling, climbing and physical contact are prohibited in the experience. Running is optional on some escapes, but never required!

Prison Escape in Breda is a completely new experience. Production has increased much more than before. We went from 42 to 80 professional interactive actors. There are also many new storylines and characters to follow in Breda. Even more epic scenes and there are also many more escapes than before.

Yes this is possible, but only later in the experience. We therefore recommend that you go to the toilet before entering Prison Escape.

No, we will not lock you in a cell for three hours. Prison Escape is a complete prison experience in which you are really on cell for only 15 minutes. Then the experience starts and you look for a suitable storyline. We give you the feeling that you play the leading role in a prison movie or series, it is important that you interact with the actors.

You can experience Prison Escape as one person. You can also try to escape with two, three or your entire group of friends!
The maximum number of players per game is 420!

Reservations are not possible for under 15 people. If you want to be sure of tickets, we advise you to order them via the ticketshop and you will receive them immediately. Groups larger than 15 people have the option to book, this can be done via the form on the website.

It is not possible to cancel the ticket (s). Moving the ticket (s) to a new edition is possible up to 1 month before the start of the event. We can transfer the ticket (s) to another person, so that you as a group can still enjoy the experience. You will find all rules regarding cancellation in our terms and conditions.
